शब्द की तलाश

 उम्र की चिट्ठियाँ जला रही हूँ इस सर्द शहर के सर्द मौसम में मुझे कहाँ मालूम था रंगीन बस्तियां इतनी अँधेरी होती हैं... बड़ी मुद्दत पे उठाया है खुद से उस पार जाने को कदम न मंजिल पता है न तय रास्ता चलना ही तमन्ना थी और हिम्मत एक मुकाम क्या पता इन्ही में रौशनी हो.. तुम धूप हो परछाई हो तुम हो हर नयी उम्मीद तुम रात हो, बुझती बत्तियां हो, तुम ही हो रोकती जंजीरें हार तुमसे, जीत भी तुमसे ही, यही सोच कर उलझती रही हाँ ये कहा मालुम था तुमको छू के गुजरना भर था ऐ जिन्दगी

जब तुम कहते हो कि प्यार है मुझसे.... अच्छा जरूर लगता है जब तुम कहते हो कि प्यार है बहुत मुझसे मेरी रूह की खुशबू अब तक तुम्हारे ख्वाब में तैरा करती हैं मुझे लगता है कि मै दौड़ कर तुम्हारे पहलुओ में आ जाऊं रेशमी धागों में समेट लू तुम्हारी बिखरी जिन्दगी और तुम्हारे वादों में भूल जाऊं हर माजी की कडवाहट को.. मगर ख़याल आता है तुम्हारा वादों के सहारे उम्र का खवाब बनना हर सपने पे तुम्हारी कसौटियो की धुल का जमना तुम्हारे जैसा बनने   की होड़ में खुद को भूल जाना और फिर तुम्हारा ये कहना की मुझमे अच्छा क्या है... ख्याल आता है हर बात में तुम्हारी ख़ुशी की कायल होना, हर चोट लगने के बाद तुम्हारी छुवन की मरहम के लिए तरसना और हर बार तुम्हारी इस बात से घायल होना, की मैंने ठोकर खाने के अलावा सीखा क्या है.. हाँ ये सच है की अब भी मेरे खयालो में तुम्हारा वजूद बाकी है.. पर तुम्हारी लाख कोशिशो के बावजूद,मेरी रूह अभी मरी नहीं... अपनी मंजिले खुद तय करने के प्यास अभी भी बाकी है... मै नकारती हूँ तुम्हारी मुहब्बत में लिपटी बंदिशों भरी आहट को धोखे भरी निगाहों की साज़िश के साथ वही ठहर जा ...

The song "why this Kolaveri di, became a phenomenal song, due to its simple lyrics and amazing tune.....One of my friend asked me to reconsider my liking for Kolaveri Di as it uses some outrageous words against girls..like white skin, black heart and killer rage [meaning of kolaveri].... I guess people who like this song with true understanding of these words can better answer why they liked it so much. Most of the north Indians or people abroad who were not familiar with the original lyrics have perhaps did not bother about the literal meaning rather its ease to muse people with simplicity and melody.. Seeking happiness in love is more painful than this Kolaveri I guess..When you are in love, everything seems pink; every idea seems great and every dream is under the quote "possible"..You want to sleep, eat, think, drink and sing with the tunes your lover want you to...Even if you don't like it.. But like everything ephemeral in this world..this magic too breaks...
